1.Faça do hábito de escovar dente uma festa
Crie um ritual que faça o seu filho se sentir feliz sempre que essa hora chegar. Ainda no colo, dê uma escovinha na mão do bebê para que comece a se familiarizar com o objeto. 3.Crie uma rotina de higiene bucal
Assim como na escola, crie uma rotina em casa. A criança acordou, hora de escovar os dentes; alimentou-se, idem; vai dormir, também. E, ratificando o que foi dito acima, participe desses momentos.
Inclusive, você pode ir além e aproveitar para estimular a imaginação do seu filho. Conte histórias, crie personagens exterminadores de cáries e use escovas de dente coloridas — há muitos modelos no mercado, adequados para cada faixa etária; algumas até acendem durante o uso.
4. Torne o ambiente seguro
Não crie o costume de colocar a criança sobre o vaso sanitário ou debruçá-la na pia, de maneira improvisada. Além de colocar seu filho em risco, pode gerar medo na hora da escovação, o que acaba dificultando a tarefa.
Isso não significa reformar o banheiro, mas, sim, ter aparatos específicos para seu filho. Por exemplo, utilize um banquinho firme para ele alcançar a pia ou lhe ofereça um copo d’água, em vez de permitir que se debruce sobre a pia para enxaguar a boca.
5.Ensine por que a higiene bucal é importante
Certamente, a criança fará birra algum dia para não escovar os dentes. Nessas horas, você precisa ter paciência, pois brigar não é a solução ideal. A melhor maneira de conseguir a colaboração do seu filho é conversar — olho no olho — e mostrar de forma carinhosa e lúdica por que é preciso sempre escovar os dentes.
